The Trees

As I was snowshoeing through the woods behind my house I suddenly looked over to my right and I saw this image I could not erase form my mind. It was a mixture of white pine and spruce trees.
The feeling that went through my head was a feeling of purity, like my soul was washed free.

This is a very nice scene because there is no movement, and there is nobody around me, it’s just me and the trees. As I keep on snowshoeing I just keep getting this image in my head. As I snowshoe back I stop once more at these same white pine and spruce trees. As I started on my journey I decided to take a walk in through the trees and look out through them to see what the animals see when they look out at me passing by, when I get in the cluster of trees I look out and I see something magnificent, all I see is the glistening snow and white pine and spruce trees. As I start on my way home I stop before I get there to think about this beautiful sight and then I start to wonder what it would be like to live among the beautiful white pine and spruce trees.

When I get home and that night when I go to sleep this is all I can dream about all through out my sleep.

  2. Jarrett,

This is a very good piece of writing. Very discriptive... it sounds like a place of peace. I would love to go there, if it was real...which is porbably is. Good Job :)

  3. Jarrett,

Good effort. There is real evidence that you wanted to create this peaceful place that the character not only wants to visit, but also wants to dream about all the time. Watch for errors with verb and subject agreement and using "seen" when it should be "saw."
